Sebastian and Samantha and their two trusty knights are on a quest to find a magic crystal which will help them overcome the evil rodents trying to take over. The story is a bit formulaic and obvious to adults, but it's also timeless and enthralls children.
I actually think the illustration for this CGI movie is gorgeous. There is excellent use of colour to highlight and real depth to the images, however the animation uses a slow frame rate, so the characters don't quite move and talk smoothly. That doesn't bother us and I didn't even notice at first (possibly because we're so used to playing console games). The characters are likeable, not wishy washy or bullish. There's a trailer for the movie below....
My 5 and 6 year old boys have watched this film twice now, and they've laughed out loud throughout. The 'bad guy' rodents and other enemies can be a little bit scary at times, but not overly so, and the good guys win in the end. It's a good children's movie, and very watchable, but possibly won't hold much excitement for anyone aged around 8+.
