Interplay Rivetz Papercraft Giant Hornet Giveaway (age 8+)

We're long time fans of Interplay crafts, science and nature kits, and one of our favourite ranges is Rivetz. Models made from thick glossy paper fastened together using plastic rivets. They're a bit trickier than your regular papercraft kit, so are mainly suitable for children aged around 8+.
You may have previously spotted our Rivetz Hornet - which lived on our wall for a few months last year and appeared in the background for many of my photos. It's a definite talking point, and a really impressive model.

The models are formed from specially cut thick gloss-finish paper which is folded and then bent into the correct position. The instructions are really clear - and it's quite a challenge when you need to hold together several edges or pieces of paper at once, but incredibly rewarding when you do it. The holes are pre-cut and all of the points numbered, so you are protected from going wrong or messing up your model.

Rivetz sets use a special rivet gun to fasten together the paper. The rivetz are two-part small black fasteners, and the gun is designed so that it's virtually impossible to injure yourself - although you need a lot of hand strength or a practised technique to squeeze the rivets together, so younger children might need a hand, and the under 8's would struggle. The age 8+ guideline is pretty accurate.

Our Giant Hornet is an impressive 32cm long, and was great fun to make, and great fun to hang on the wall! The Rivetz Giant Hornet is available to buy now in toy stores and online with an rrp of £14.99.

I'm delighted to now be able to offer a Rivetz Giant Hornet as a giveaway prize for one of my readers courtesy of InterplayUK.com. Entry to the giveaway is by Gleam form below, UK entries only please - full terms and conditions are at the bottom of the Gleam form. The giveaway will end at midnight Sunday 13th March.
