We've previously reviewed both movies, and my young boys enjoyed them. Equestria Girls is a little more 'grown up' than My Little Pony, with slightly more intricate storylines to interest children of school age.
Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks tells the story of a meteoric rise to temporary fame achieved by the Canterlot High pupils Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Sunset Shimmer. They enter a Battle Of The Bands competition at school with their new band, The Rainbooms, but soon find they may be about to be cheated out of a fair competition - and on top of that the whole school is put in jeopardy. Will they save it in time? You can read our full review of Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks here...
In Equestria Girls: Friendship Games the regulars - Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Sunset Shimmer are taking part in the 4-yearly Friendship Games against Crystal Prep. There's a bit of cheating and stealing involved, and it's up to the Cantrerlot High students to see that justice is done, but first they have to reopen the portal to Equestria and get back their magic. You can read our full review of Equestria Girls: Friendship Games here..
Both of my reviews also have links to where you can find free Equestria Girls Printables for the more crafty or artistic among you...
