The first sets for Christmas 2016 are the Core Dolls - McKeyla, Adrienne, Bryden, Camryn and two new recruits, Devon and Ember (rrp £14.99). Fully articulated and with lifelike features based on the show’s real characters, and dressed to reflect their personality and individual style.
The Project MC2 Lip Gloss Voice Recorder (rrp £19.99) is the perfect way to pass on your secret messages. A speaker disguised as a makeup compact, it records and plays back your recordings – and you'll be pleased to know it is also a real lip gloss!
The A.D.I.S.N – Advanced Digital Intelligence Spy Notebook (rrp £24.99) is full of secret stuff including a booklet containing secret missions, hidden compartments and a special NeRDy bracelet. The Notebook also ties into the free app, Project Mc2 Case Files, for even more action.
Next we have the Project Mc2 Experiment Dolls (rrp £24.99). Each of the dolls with their own experiment and a different outfit. The new experiments are really varied - McKeyla’s Glitter Light Bulb, Adrienne’s Bath Fizz, Bryden’s Panda Speaker, Devon’s Puffy Paint and Ember’s Garden. Each uses household ingredients to complete a scientific experiment that your child will love.
For anyone who likes things a bit more hush hush, we have the Project Mc2 Ultimate Spy Bag (rrp £39.99) as worn by Adrienne Attoms in the show. Opening up to reveal a forensic fingerprinting kit, an air blower disguised as a perfume bottle, a magnifying glass hidden in a make up compact, a torch hidden in a nail polish bottle, a secret message launcher disguised as a lipstick, test tubes and much more!
I no longer have young girls here so my 6 and 8 year old boys reviewed the Project MC2 Ultimate Lab Kit (rrp £49.99). My 16 year old daughter also loves it though, and is quite jealous that it wasn't available when she was younger. I know what she means, I'd have also thought it was the best toy ever.
This is a really big kit with over 30 pieces including the activity/experiment booklet and plenty of equipment to do your experiments. Find out more in my Project MC2 Ultimate Lab Kit Review.
The final item is definitely another toy that is usually offered to boys - the Project Mc2 H2O Remote Control Car (rrp £59.99). Just like in the Netflix original series, this cool ride actually is powered by S.T.E.A.M! All the thrill of an RC car with working headlights and real steam coming out of the exhaust. Pop the hood to connect the engine, and add water to the tank to activate and run the car with an easy-to-use remote control.
You can find out more about the Project MC2 Netflix Original TV Show on the Project MC2 You Tube Channel, or take a look at the Project MC2 website, where you'll also find games and information. Toys are available at all good toy shops instore and online. I hope your children get as much pleasure from Science as mine do...
