This huge box is almost entirely cardboard and very eco-friendly as well as being super simple to open. The rubbery fastenings around the blaster do need cutting because if you pull them and they snap back, they really sting! Everything else goes straight in the recycling though.
Because you don't even need batteries, you are ready to play almost straightaway, except for assembling your blaster, including fitting the stand and 'bolt'. The bolt simply slides through the barrel and you press the end cap on.
It's actually surprisingly easy to pull and even if your child doesn't have the hand strength, they can place the stock on the ground and push back against that. This is a powerful blaster. It actually smarts when it strikes bare skin, so watch out for innocent bystanders walking into your path.
The RaptorStrike has a bipod stand with extending pivoting legs, so you can rest it on any surface. It's easy to use and stable, although the blaster is so light, it's easy to use while held.
Talking of being held - there is a soft rubber grip on the stock. Not a feature you usually find and it's very comfortable to hold.
The AccuStrike RaptorStrike has all the usual features you expect from Nerf, including an opening 'dart jam' hatch in the barrel so that you can free stuck darts. The blaster won't fire until this is closed.
This is an Accustrike model and it's really incredibly accurate to fire. This is made even better by this pop-up sight.
It's no surprise this blaster uses the Elite Accustrike Darts and it comes with 18 Elite foam darts and 2 x sprung 6 dart clips. They're really quick to change and so even though this is a more slow and steady type of blaster, you can still fire off 12 rounds pretty quickly.
All in all this is an amazingly powerful blaster that is very accurate, even at a distance. It's lightweight and easy to hold, and it doesn't require any batteries, so it'll never be 'out of action'. It isn't rapid-fire, but it'll please those who like to take their time. Perfect for target practice and competitions with the rest of your family or friends.

ReplyDeleteHiya, that's very unfortunate! Your best bet would be to Google Hasbro Customer Service in the country you are in and send them a message. They should be able to arrange one for you :)
