This month has been easier for us and I can share the fantastic news that our young person has been discharged from hospital. It's been their home from home for most of the past 2 years, but now they are so well that in fact they have already got a job and plans to return to education in September. They've also honed some pretty mean cooking skills and I had my dinner made for me last Friday. It was the best curry I could ever eat in my life because it was not only delicious, it meant so much. I really couldn't be happier and prouder.
Exam revision time is with us yet again and that's something we find very hard, but everyone has still relaxed a little. For the first time in 3 years, a couple of the teenagers bought batteries and set up Guitar Hero and Rock Band on the Playstation. We scoured eBay and bought some more up to date track discs (well, post 2008 anyway) and music has filled the house. It's been something we've all really missed, but one of those things we found really hard to bring back...
Thank you to everyone who shared your #tbcsmiles this month - anyone can join in - just use the hashtag on a smile! There were a few Easter photos and absolutely loads of Bluebells - you guys got a bit obsessed! Here are a few of the brightest smiles this month - as chosen by me and my children...
These gorgeous smiles belong to:
We had our own smiles this month thanks to not only Rock Band, but an Easter visit from our uni student and some gorgeous weather which let us enjoy being outdoors... I still missed a couple of the kids again - one month I'll catch them all!
As ever, if you've used the hashtag accidentally and don't want your photos sharing please let me know and I'll remove you from the post! Anyone is welcome to join in by using #TBCSmiles on Instagram or Twitter, and some of the brightest smiles are shared here and on Instagram every 15th of the month...
The smiles we've helped to create are the reason and the reminder why we
carry on. Every one makes it worthwhile... If you don't know why we
collect our smiles, you can find out here...
Gorgeous smiles and I'm so pleased you brought the music back xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen - although I feel like I tempted fate now after my overly-exciting day! xx
DeleteLove looking at your smiles. And nice that you have some music back. I find music comes and goes and have fun memories or rock band evenings with friends
ReplyDeleteRock band evenings are the best. Music is so good for the soul :) x
DeleteI am so pleased about the news, that is great and what a wonderful way to celebrate with the meal. I do love these posts and all those smiles. I can imagine it is difficult to include. Thank you so much for including my image. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteHis smile was such a corker - I think my boys were pretty fascinated by that tree :) Thanks Susan x
