Digital Kids Show is back - 10th/11th November at Manchester Central

Digital Kids Show will be back for it's third year this November, bigger and better, and in a brand new location! This year it will be taking place at Manchester Central, which is much easier to get to if you don't have a car. The event runs over the weekend of 10th and 11th November and we'll be there again as guests to review!

My boys are the sort of kids who carry Funko Pop! drinks bottles and wear retro t-shirts. They're huge fans of anything digital, so they are very happy that we'll be going back. The show covers just about anything tech, gadget, game or internet related which is child-safe and kid-friendly.

I love Digital Kids Show because I feel like a 'kid in a sweet shop' with all of the STEM toys, games and tech on offer. It's always so much fun and I get to see a hint of some of the independent toys which will be coming up next year...

Your Full Day Ticket includes all this (and more to be announced)!

Meet & Greets with popular You Tubers* / Ice skating / Virtual Reality / Minecraft competitions /  Fortnite tournament / Indie gaming zone / JustDance2019 competition & prizes / Family Fair rides / Giant inflatables / Under-5s inflatables / Spinning Bumper Cars / Live shows including Little Fix & DJ set with Clint Boon / Princess Parlour & Superhero training / Last Man Standing / Build with Geomag / Code robots with BinaryBots / Play with Gravitrax / Code in Minecraft / Scooter Disco / Thunderbirds

It's nice to see something especially for the grown ups this year. Personally I'm a huge Clint Boon fan, I won't be wearing my 1990 Inspiral Carpets Cool As Heck T-shirt though...

There are going to be 11 different zones and here's a taste of what you'll find...

The Greatest Show! - The live stage with a host of stars including original Minecraft legend iBallisticSquid, Amy Lee, The Wizard, Kiddyzuzaa, AshDubh, Speedy, SB737, DJ Clint Boon, Little Fix, DragonHat, BinOfTrash, Flax and aerial circus and dance artists, Zu Aeriel, and more....

App-Tastic - the best in children’s media from subscription to on demand. Get hands on with your favourite apps and meet the characters behind your favourite shows.

Glorious Gaming - Retro, family favourites and brand new releases on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. Walk the Plank in VR or and scale the heights of the tallest buildings in the world.

Fun-Tastic Fair - A real fairground! Indoors! Crazy twister and Wave Swinger for the bigger kids, and rides for under-7’s including Cups & Saucers and Balloons.

Bumps & Bounce - Inflatables and boingy stuff a-plenty. including inflatable bumper cars...

Spectacular Superheroes - Fancy dress or superhero costume is encouraged! Brush up your combat skills or just hang out with Spiderman, Captain America and the other often-undercover crime-fighters.

Princess Parlour - I'm guessing we won't be visiting, so no chance of us bumping into a Princess from Kiddyzuzaa. Magic wands and tiaras are encouraged while you learn how to be a real magic princess. I expect this to be the pinkest and glitteriest part of the show...

Scoot N Skate - The ever-popular epic scooter disco and an amazing ice skating rink with real snow falling whilst you skate. My boys have never been brave enough to try, maybe this year will be a first. (Penguins, skates, scooters and all safety equipment provided on site).

Slime, Snow & Glow - Get messy and creative in our slime making workshops with the bonus of no tidying up! There is also UV face painting, glow sticks and more in the toddler rave, where parents can throw some shapes to old school dance tracks amongst a sea of bubbles and confetti.

Safe & Sound - Staying safe online is crucial if you want to be a real Digital Kid. Digital Kids has experts on hand to answer your questions and give advice on the best anti-virus products, cyber bullying and more.

Super STEM - my personal favourite area. This is where you can interact with and buy toys and gadgets that will inspire you to be designers, engineers and programmers of the future. Geomag, Binary Bots, GraviTrax, I could just stay there all day playing.,,,

There really is something for everyone and although there are age restrictions on some activities & games, there is plenty to do whatever your age. Digital Kids Show is fantastically hands-on. It's an event where you really can play with the exhibits...
