Num Noms - a new children's collectible with added smell! Review and Giveaway

There's a brand new collectible range for children this week, and it's Num Noms. Small rubbery shells that cover moving creature vehicles and lip balms among other things. Each Num Nom is based on a specific sweet flavour and has it's own matching scent.

Num Noms - a new children's collectible with added smell! Review and Giveaway

We were sent 2 of the Num Noms Mystery Packs with a lip balm Nom base and a Num rubbery top, and a Cupcake Party Pack Deluxe Set which contains 6 different Nums, 2 motorised Noms, a cup base and a spoon.

Num noms Mystery packs review

The Mystery Packs are like yogurt pots, and it's impossible to know which Num Noms you have inside. The Deluxe Sets actually tell you exactly what scent each item has, and contain 8 differently smelling items. All are sweet and quite fruity, currently they are available in Cupcake and Ice cream flavours, and they're pretty good!

What are Num Noms children's scented collectible toys

The motorised Noms are excellent. They're very simple and really just vibrate, controlled by a big on/off switch on the top of the Nom. The size of the button means you can cover them with a Num of your choice and still use them - and they'll still run around any smooth surface.

How motorised Num Noms work review motorized

The Mystery Packs contain a Lip Balm Nom. They're quite effective actually, with a nice solid lip balm that a child shouldn't just instantly smear away, and a tight closing lid that is still easy enough for small fingers to open.

The Num rubbery tops can be stacked in whatever order you like on top of a Nom, creating sweet smelling desserts in over 1000 different combinations...and they are almost good enough to make your mouth water...

How to pile or stack Num Noms

Cupcake scented Num Noms children's collectible toys

My boys really like Num noms. They're very tactile, and the scents are great. My 6 year old has played with them as small world characters for hours, creating little voices and scenarios. I can see why you would want to try them all and grow your collection.

Cupcake scented Num Noms collectible toy review

The best stacks we reckon we have made have 4 Nums, with a lemon motorised base, bubblegum, vanilla and blueberry tops, and maybe an ice cream hiding in there...they are definitely not so good at balancing when they have a few Nums on top, but that's half the fun...

Num Noms are suitable for children aged 3+ and are available to buy now at Tesco. The Mystery Pots cost around £2.99, a Deluxe Set costs £14.99 and Starter Packs (£8.99) and a Play Set (£24.99) are also available.

Num Noms have very kindly offered one of my readers a great bundle of Num Noms including a Deluxe Set and 2 Mystery Pots as a giveaway prize. Please enter using the Gleam form below. The giveaway will end at midnight Sunday 24th April and is open to UK entrants only. Full terms and conditions at the bottom of the Gleam form.
