Jack Daniels Barbeque Sauces

I was sent some of the new Jack Daniel's Barbeque Sauces a little while ago, and they've become such an everyday part of our meals that actually I almost forgot it was a review.

Available in 5 different flavours, all infused with 1% Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey (not enough to make them an age-restricted product or unsuitable for children). We were sent Hot Pepper Steak Sauce and Extra Hot Habanero Barbeque Sauce to try

Hot and spicy foods are popular in my house with my 5 young people. We love a good chilli or curry, and when it's chip night the chilli sauce is there on the table with the ketchup. I did expect these to be a hit with everyone except the two youngest, and they are, but I've actually found them to be incredibly versatile too.

My meat-eaters said the Hot Pepper Steak Sauce was gorgeous rubbed onto pork loin with freshly ground black pepper and salt.

And for the vegetarians, my 20 year old took a bag of 'crumb coating' and added a healthy dash of the Extra Hot Habanero Barbeque Sauce to really jazz up Quorn fillets.

The sauces are full of taste and really not too 'heady' with the Whiskey flavour. It gives a real depth of flavour, and even the Extra Hot Habanero is more about flavour than simply being 'extra hot'.

Both sauces are great on a full English breakfast or for dipping your chips and potato wedges...

A dash on your cheese on toast, or a good splash on your burger is just the thing....

Aside from those we've been trying, there are 3 other varieties available - Original Barbeque Sauce, Smoky Sweet Barbeque Glaze and Full Flavour Smoky - and I think they'll be something that my 5 year old especially will adore.

The Extra Hot Habanero Barbecue Sauce is available in Nisa stores and the Hot Pepper Steak Sauce is available in Tesco stores, RRP £2.19. The Smooth Original Barbecue Sauce, Full Flavor Smokey Barbecue Sauce, and the Smokey Sweet Barbecue Glaze are all available from most major retailers across the UK RRP £2.19. All are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and all except the glaze suitable for Coeliacs.

    1. My little ones wouldn't use it as a dressing, not yet anyway - give them a few years :)

  2. I don't think 7yo would enjoy these, but myself and hubby definitely would.

    1. Oh yes. They are just lovely, and I would'nt usually drink Whiskey, so it's not as if I'm a massive fan or anything!

    1. They're really handy if you like a little spice. The whiskey adds another layer of depth and it's really tasty :)
