ReplyDeleteA hotel booking!! Just kidding, the most important thing for a good nights sleep is your base so make sure you have a good mat or inflatable as you need to keep the cold and the bumps away from your body. As long as you can do that it should be plain sailing.

ReplyDeleteI always take ear plugs. Sometimes the noises you hear when camping can make you a little jumpy especially as you are in unfamiliar surroundings. It also has the added benefit of keeping those creepy crawlies out ;)

ReplyDeleteI have been camping a lot and my advice would be to take a duvet, not a sleeping bad. It's way more cosy, just throw a blanket over the top to stop any dampness

ReplyDeleteInflatable mattress. The first time I went camping I tried using just a foam bedroll - never again! Oh, and a double-walled tent. If it hammers it down so badly that it seeps through a single-walled tent, that is one hell of a rude awakening.
