BlogOn Christmas Jumper 2017 Linky

I had the dubious honour of writing this Autumn's get-to-know-you linky for #BlogOnXmas 2017, so I should probably be among the first to complete it! As it's the Christmas Jumper Linky, two of my teenagers kindly offered their modelling services...

The linky is open for anyone who is attending BlogOn Conference on 24th September to join in and add their answers, so that we can get to know each other a little beforehand. This isn't my first BlogOn, I've been a regular since 2013 and in fact it's my 4th BlogOn linky - here's my first. All being well I'll be the short blonde one greeting you when you arrive at Hotel Football...

1. Please share your favourite photo of you. This isn't my all-time favourite, that's a printed photo and in a box somewhere, but I am at least recognisable.

This was me at Blog On a couple of years ago, attempting to win a holiday. I didn't win that time, but I did win an amazing Canvas Holiday at last year's Blog On Christmas. Excuses in advance if I end up wearing that dress again.. just pretend you haven't seen it before...

2. If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick? Snow Patrol. I have really eclectic music taste and I'm constantly busy. I feel like they would chill everything out a bit, probably make me a brew and wouldn't make too much mess.

3. What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet? Buzzfeed. And emails, Facebook, Twitter. I refuse to actually answer the phone when I'm on the loo though.

4. What word can't you spell? Manoeuvres

5. What's the most unusual job you've ever had? I was a copy telephonist for a press agency when I was a teenager, and I spent 8 hours a day reading out news articles and other copy to journalists and typists. I was replaced by an incredibly expensive Fax Machine, which was already being made obsolete by the invention of email by the time my 4 week notice was served.

6. Knitting, sewing or crotchet? Sewing

7. Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead? I wrote this question, it would be foolish of me not to know the true answer!

8. If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be? Vegetarian hot dogs with loads of mushrooms, onions and ketchup.

9. What is the scariest thing you've ever done? Reading Dear Elspeth at Britmums Live in 2015. I couldn't make my mouth work for what seemed an eternity.

10. If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose? Sim - she'd have to be my choice of partner-in-crime, she takes no messing!

11. Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts? Narnia - I quite fancy the idea of all that snow, and the White Witch couldn't be everywhere at once. I can hide.

12. What snack food says 'Christmas' to you? Those boxes with 6 different snacks including tiny pretzels and cheese crackers.

13. Is there life on Mars? Undoubtedly and it's probably more humane than us humans.

 14. Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you? National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and I'd like to be played by Cameron Diaz, but it'd probably be Julie Walters.

15. What are you proudest of? Our children. All of them.

If you coming to BlogOn then it'd be great to see your answers to the questions, so join in with the BlogOn Christmas Jumper Linky by clicking on the jumper! See you there...

  2. I think once you have children it is hard not to be proud of them the most ever isn't it! I can't think of anything else that matters to me anywhere near as much as my children! Great questions - loved taking part x
